Energy conservation awareness campaign launched

Following a successful campaign promoting water conservation in the residential sector, the Energy and Water Agency has embarked on a new campaign, this time round giving tips about energy conservation.

The Agency’s website now has a dedicated page to increase public awareness in conservation of energy and water, accessible here.

This series of tips issued, includes a number of minor and doable changes in our everyday life. By following such tips, you can save money by reducing your energy consumption, whilst helping the environment.

Most of the tips come at zero charges, such as switching off the lights when not in use or only running a dishwasher cycle when the appliance is full. Other tips suggest changes that can be easily implemented with a minor investment, such as replacing incandescent and halogen lighting in the house.

This energy conservation awareness campaign aims to achieve significant savings on the energy bill.

Those were some really practical tips! I also liked how you arranged them in a tile format. I had fun to read it :D. We follow most of these tips at our home as well. While renovating our home last year, we also got a home energy monitoring device called Ohm Assistant. This helps us monitor the power consumption of all our devices on our smartphone and keeps us on top of things.
